I’m leaving curly out to dedicate a separate post to my favorite and the most difficult shape of the hair. Let this one be just about straight and wavy.
Before getting to choose any hairstyle, remind yourself about the natural structure of your hair. That’s most likely what suits you best. But it’s not a reason to not try anything else. So go ahead and choose your next hairstyle counting in these factors:
1. Length
The longer your hair, the more space you have for waves. Use it! See, women with shorter often straighten their hair to make it look longer. With really long hair, you can curl your hair all you want.
2. Thickness
Here’s the rule: the thicker-the straighter. Straightening is the last thing you want to do to thin hair: it will look even thinner. But the thicker it gets, the better straight styles start to look.
3. Face shape
Basically, there’s no restriction as to what hair you can wear with a certain shape of the face. But there are some patterns you might want to check for yourself. Waves usually look great around triangular faces. People with round faces tend to straighten their hair more often. And lighter waves are a great choice if you have a square face.
